Very interesting car. It is a LaFayette with the 400 DeLuxe grille. Nash reworked their model line-ups twice per year in 35 and 36 to boost sales. Your car is likely a late build 36 with the upgraded grille.

I have a 36 sedan that I drive the wheels off. It isn't HAMB friendly, so I won't post any pics. PM me if you have Nash questions................

Looks real pretty when its all there. my boss pulled one from a guys house for free. It was BARLEY a shell and had coat hanger wire holding the quarters to the roof and tail pan haha. No body panels to even go with it. As much as I hate to say a car like this is unsalvageable but this really was... oh and I Love those hoods!

In my humble opinion, just tip the back door post forward a bit and round the upper rear corner for the right look. Those square cut doors were a simple cost saver for a struggling make, don't change anything between body styles that doesn't HAVE TO BE changed. Like the Willys company making 2door sedans from 4door sedans.

These Nash Lafayettes turn up fairly regularly at the big swap meets in the TX, OK, AR area and bring a fair dollar.

    Ken, Here's an idea!

Drop it, chop it, lose the fenders, and add a big blown flathead Ford, and take it to Bonneville! You supply the car, I'll supply the engine.

Send it to me- I'll get started on it for you...:D
