Hey everyone, Just writing to let you know the new issue #17 is ready to ship, and it's one of my favorites out of the bunch! Subscriptions have already been mailed. Those without subscriptions can order via www.mag-neto.com, or The Hot Rod Co., or Barracuda mag, etc. Unfortunately this will be the last issue for awhile. I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer (Hodgkin's). The treatments are working great and I feel relatively normal, just lacking the energy to keep up with producing the magazine. Please don't turn this post into 10 pages of well wishing. I already know how thoughtful and supportive Hambers are...and really appreciate it! My outlook is positive so I'm not worried. Please check the website in a few months for updates. I plan to use this downtime to re-think the design and format of the magazine and possibly turn it into an annual rather than quarterly publication. Thanks for all of your support in spreading the word about Mag-neto over the past few years. I really appreciate it! Have a great holiday.
Stuff ya....Good luck with it Tony........the mag, that is!! Would be great as an annual. And for you Oz HAMBers, MagNeto 17 will be here very soon.....
Tony, I've said it before and I'll say it again. The look and design of Magneto is unparalleled. You do a tremendous job. If I can ever help you out with it, let me know. And I know you don't want to hear it, but tough ****... keep on fightin'.
Cheers Tony, Look forward to seeing the new issue, agree with Django on the quality of the product. Have a good holiday season and kick this thing in the **** !!
If ya don't want it to go 10 pages, I better get in on the first page.. I love Mag-Neto, its a Neto-Mag..Wish you well on your battle too. Spike
In my opinion, this is the "Hop Up" of the East Coast, what a high quality little mag! I'm hooked! Please keep them coming at the current schedule once you get better, Good on you for making your health a priority right now . Good Stuff- now go and get yourself healthy again, we're rootin for you.
Thanks for the forewarning, Tony. There are many people around the world that really appreciate the style and content of your magazine. Like many I look forward to the "New" Mag-neto, and beyond.
I love Mag-neto! It's a great combination of hot rod knowledge presented with a solid design sense. I APPRECIATE THAT. Whatever it turns into, I'll look forward to it. A big fat annual would be nice, but maybe bi-annual Winter and Summer issues would be better. Get well soon so you can crank out some more issues. PS: I just clicked on the link to the Mag-neto website and the "revving engine" noise scared the heck out of me.
Got mine today and wa shocked when I read the news. I have to agree it's a great, hell it's an awesome issue. But I'm confident you'll be back with an even better 18th!! Goos luck, and if you're out this way please stop in. Dennis and Sue
i love that mag.i get see whats going on over on the other coast.i like the two coast are different in styles.keep up the work and well see ya soon.keep us informed on how things are going and if you need anything.keep rockin. jason
Thanks guys! I don't need all the well-wishes...but compliments, well, that's just fine. Rest ***ured that whenever I do get back to work on Mag-neto, it will be just as good as the previous issues. I'll just follow the "quality not quan***y" philosophy. Let me also say that I'm just a graphic designer, this 'zine would be nothing without the awesome writers and photographers who continue to provide great material even though this is an extremely low budget operation.
Well wishes out........compliments in.....you got it Tony!! The new format looks great and certainly reflect's all your hard work!! Now go kick that Cancer in the balls.......my very best wishes for the season and future good health bro!!
