X-gasser, the best thing you could do is haul your sorry ass over there and apoligise to the lady for being a stupid dickhead. i fucking dare you to come poking around my property with that kind of attitude, fuckface. who the fuck are you to say what someone needs to be living in, what the fuck is wrong with an old construction trailer? hey, when YOU hit hard times, well TOUGH FUCKING LUCK ASSHOLE!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Geez, get up on the wrong side of bed this morning, Ray ?? Chill out, Bro. How do you react when something REALLY important goes down ????? [IMG]

I am however, impressed that you learned the proper usage of the word "fuck", however. [IMG]

as a matter of fact i did. i got home from work last night at 6:15 pm, cleaned up, ate dinner, and at 8:00 pm my GF went to the store, and in that hour and a half or so of early evening the radio was jacked from my daily driver, parked in MY driveway along with all my other cars. they left a couple cases of hundreds of cd's on the seat though. any body that might have been caught on my property last night, or anyother night for that matter, has to deal with the possibility of suffering lead poisoning, especially someone with the guts to do it early while i'm home and active. so, NO i didn't sleep too well last night!

i don't really give a fu,....ahem, DAMN about the radio, it was a cheap cd player, i DO however care about the thousands of dollars of tools and actual old car parts i have, despite the humble appearance of my abode. just like you wonder why this woman got upset, hey you don't know who might have been poking around her property last week.

i have no problem being the rude asshole for pointing out how wrong it is to go nosing around someones property without permission. if every smart ass who thought he was entitled to every old car sitting behind a shed just took it, there would be no more survivors. it's HER perogative to let the car rot, get over it. buzzing her home with the airplane will only piss her off more and be the first thing she thinks of the next time X-gasser is maing noise on his peoperty or whatever. he's probably just talking big anyway.

Lesson, next time go ask if you can look at the car right off the bat.

I get so pissed off especially this time of year with all the hunters driving around. I may let people hunt on my land but just because I dont have a no trespassing sign doesnt give everyone the right to come snoop around my vehicles.

I was awoken during deer season this year on my one day off at 5:30 in the morning cause some fucknut with no exhaust was snooping in my yard, I seen him drive by my mustang and then he drove over by where I got my '49 Chevy PU and '50 Dodge PU parked and got out thats when I grabbed my gun and headed out the door, he heard the door open and went took off running to his pickup.

I probably saw about 20 people snooping around my vehicles, not one person came to talk to me about them or ask if they could look at them.

When you dont bother going to ask permission before you ask, it tells me your up to no good and I would be rude to you too.

  5. I strongly disagree about it being trespassing. I've worked for several municipalities and taking into account right-of-ways, easements and set backs from access thru fares i.e. roads - you can be along way from the road and it not be tresspassing. In Montana not posted is fair game. I've got a "easement" on the prop I own now, and since it has been used in the past for access by my neighbors it is grandfathered in and I cannot build within the setback limits, or post sign, hell I'd get in trouble for dumping my grass clippings... ostensibly my property was given to my neighbors for access long ago.

  6. Look, Im sorry to touch on a sensitive subject. And in this case I was wrong. You know, shit happens in life that we wish we could do over. I was wrong to go off on her but I was standing 30 feet from this thing "on a public alley" when she approached me. Now as far as some people waking up on the wrong side of the bed go`s, I recently had a front clip stolen from one of my parts cars at my shop. Now even though we have a NO Trespassing sign at our shop, curious people stop by and look. For the most part they are friendly and I invite them to look around if they wan`t. Sometimes this results in a sale or a trade or a new connection for future parts. I understand that shit gets stolen, I try to do all I can to secure the stuff but It happens. Some people might say well if I catch you trespassing on my property I will shoot you. Well if its in this state you can under the cover of darkness 30 minutes after dusk. The state law will back you in that case. But the civil side is what you should worry about. You would have to prove that you, your limb or life was in danger. If you kill some person the ramifications could be greater than your piece of shit radio, car , tools etc. You need to think of that before you pull the trigger. The guy you kill could have a family that could find a trial lawyer that could take fucking lame ass apart.. is that worth it to you.. well not me. Its a gray area. I know this law because I had to study it to get a concealed carry permit. Let me tell you from my personal experiance, If you think your a bad ass " Ill get my gun and shoot trespassers" well if your going to pull it out you better think of the consequences. Its a harder decision to make than you think...

  7. so I take it-your'e not the NRA? [IMG]
I agree some people can be rude where a little tact would have sufficed.
But it sounds to me like this is a common problem all over this country.
I suggest we simply respect other peoples property lines and first ASK the owner of old cars IF WE CAN LOOK- then nobody has to get rude with us -right? [IMG]

  9. Thanks. This guy also has a 69 Cadillac 4 door he was trying to sell. I dont have the room. It has a fairly nice body. Maybe I should buy it, pull the motor and trans and cut the car up and throw it in the dumpster. I think it has a 472 or it might be a 500. I dont know Cadillacs. He wants 250.00. Man the Christmas money is running out !

Well she could have been nicer but you were trespassing and people shouldn't need a sign for you to know that you don't have any right to do that. So you come on somebody elses land, then get pissy when they don't like it and then buzz her house for the rest of the day with your rc plane? Grow up

Another time I found this 53 chevy and the owner told us to come inside to talk about the car, so we did. We were in his house for like an hour and was mad boring, but some stuff was cool like his brother had a V-16 Caddy in the 30's. Also that they found a steam power truck in a pond and rebuilt it and got it to run. Anyway it's a cool chevy project that if he did sell it would be like anywhere about 1500. I would of bought it, but didnt have room for a project

We get poachers[trepassers] on our farm all the time. You get tired of being nice to them. I shot the radiator out of a pickup a couple of years back. The law picked them up walking to town.TP

I don't know about the other parts of the country but all land in Mississippi is posted no trespassing by law with or with out a sign. As far as getting in peoples face their was just a killing here over somebody in the wrong deer stand. Finishing a mess you start may be more trouble than what you started it for was worth.

People SHOOT other people for just trespassing? Are you kidding me? I thought that was justified when lives were in danger, but that's ridiculous!

OK guys, this is definitely a two sided situation but you kinda have to know what parts of Texas and rural Texas are like to appreciate this situation.

Yes, we are territorial too, as far as trespassing goes, but if we find a person does not have nefarious intentions then a Texan expects another Texan to be polite no matter who's land you are on. I know it seems like a weird social contract to those of you in the north east and west coast because I've had to explain this to friends from those places before. But being polite to anyone short of the guy actually breaking into your car is sort of expected in a lot of places down here and we tend to get offended if someone is rude when we were not, or had no bad intentions ourselves.

I hope this helps a bit in shedding light on the sitch.

And just so you know, my stealing the car post was a joke in case I didn't use enough smileys.

[/ QUOTE ]So if you catch me poking around in your back yard, you are going to come out with cookies and milk? right

After reading more we now find out you weren't actually trespassing which you didn't say at first.
State laws do vary but utility easements are generally NOT public right of way, only the utility company and adjacent land owners have legal access. Shooting at someone (or their vehicle) when it is not an obvious life threatening situation is wrong anywhere you go, although maybe in some backwoods hill country it might be culturaly acceptable.
I'm glad you and your neighbor lady got things smoothed over and you got the car.

Willowbilly, RIGHT ON, this 'dick wad' wants to make us beleive he's got the right to harass this lady just cause he didn't get HIS WAY.
You better hope this is not some HAMBER'S gramma, you snot nose fuck head, if it was mine, you'd be diggin that plane of your's out of your ass.

If you learn how to respect other people, ya might get some back.

dick wad? snot nosed fuck head?

Wow, brilliant post man. I don't think you could have sounded any dumber if you tried.

Look ladies, this crap about trespassing is just that - crap. If you look outside & see someone jacking the ignition in your car in the night, yeah, it's time to come outside & handle shit. You look outside & see someone checking out the old car in your yard in the middle of the day, they're probably interested in BUYING IT. If you're not interested in selling it, you simply tell them it isn't for sale.

I know this sounds CRAZY to some of you shit-for-brains "I'll shoot anyone who sets foot on my land" types, but some people leave old cars out in their yards in the open where they can be seen because they ACTUALLY WANT PEOPLE TO COME AND BUY THEM. Maybe if you put down the shitty attitude & CAN O' WOOP ASS, and actually tried to communicate with people on an intelligent level once in awhile, you'd get a little further in life. And you'd probably score more projects.

Now you get to marry the woman, move in with the plumber, and adopt the boy and raise him as your own. Everyone will live happily ever after. You'll get laid all of the time, get a nice place to stay with free rent, and have someone to leave all of your stuff to when you croak. What a nice ending.

  23. Thanks for the back Repo Guy, I admitt I was wrong to act like a ass to her. Anyway It all worked it self out. My wife chewed on my ass all weekend for it. Enough said. Ive noticed that some people on this board seem to have a problem with people in general. Too bad, I like to think I have met some good people on this board.

  26. Back in upstate NY, where I'm originally from, there was a guy way out in the woods w/ a stash of A's that would shoot rock salt packed 12 gauge shells at people who stopped by his shanty to look at his stuff.

Sad thing was he never built, restored, or did anything w/ all that tin. He died and it all got crushed [IMG]
