THAT car is going to be a Milner clone? Enough with the damn Milner clones. I can't even look at them anymore. Unless it has bias tires, I run the other way. I love the movie too, but come on!!

You should have bought it anyway, because that was a once in a lifetime price on a chopped full fendered '32 coupe.

I believe he did not buy. My interpretation is that while it was a good deal, so good he hit buy it now, that further thought lead to him contacting the seller to back out.
After feeling better, he watched a movie, ate taco's, and pet his iguana.

That is what the tea leaves tell me. Wait, those arent tea leaves!

Nice thing about ebay for Whitey since they changed the rules is that the seller cannot leave the buyer a neg for backing out ...

But WTF is Whitey trying to say ?

http://www.projectthx138.com/Clones.htm lists over 60 known examples. And how many more guys have them that haven't found the site yet. I know there are at least 2, maybe 3 around Chicago.

Dude, if you run into deals like that all the time please send me a link. That would have been my dream to find something like that for that price.

He made the right call. It says right there in the incredibly descriptive ad it needs to be completely restored and also has too many miles on it, plus it has a fibergl*** gas tank.

I've heard of some ****ed up deals in my lifetime but I think I just heard the topper. Why would someone whether they wanted it or not hit "buy it now" on a deal that any ***** would know you could double/triple your money almost overnight then p*** on the deal. Anyone on the HAMB that's been paying attention knows what '32 5w's have been traded for and the desirabilty of owning one. He could have put it in the cl***ifieds and it would have been gone in less than a day. Then it would have landed in a place that would ***ure it wouldn't end up a Grafitti clone and put $20,000 in his bank account. Please tell me if I'm missing anything.

You just p***ed on the deal to someone else, nice thing to do, so the car doesnt have the best outcome, but at least it wont be a billit rod, graffiti car no matter what anyone says is bad ***, its been replicated, so what. its still cool and could be worse.

Karma will come around, youll find that unchopped car you want.

That car looks a hell of a lot better than any graffiti clone ever has or will just the way it sits. But then I have never been able to understand why someone would want to build a clone of anything anyhow.

Wow...I couldn't have p***ed this up. Just for the record, if anyone else finds a similar deal on a '32 and you aren't interested, please p*** along the info. A finder's fee will be waiting!!!

like everyone else, I still don't understand. He p***ed up a chopped 32 for 12500, but has 32 project car forsale on the HAMB for 32000?

He bought it and it will be on here after its taken apart and blasted just like the last one. Thats what I think.

    I understand.
He is simply pleased that even though he
legitimately won the car, the guy reserved
the right to sell locally (which was happening
at the time he hit "buy it now" ****on). The reason
he is happy is that even though it was a good deal
he was on the fence about it. What made him really
happy is that he was able to get the seller on the phone
and have a no BS conversation and together they decided
it was best for the seller to continue on with his other deal
and put the car in the hands that it really belonged, thus restoring
his faith in humanity......... Kinda makes me happy too.

p.s. I didn't look at the ebay listing,
I ***ume the guy reserved the right to sell locally.

I wonder if the seller found out what the car was really worth and made up the Graffiti clone guy story as a way to get out of the auction so he could sell it for a higher price??
