1937 plymouth vin location

any one know location of vin plate on 37 plymouth??

Check the right front door jamb/A-pillar between the hinges.

 

Early MOPAR serial numbers an 8 digit sequence (factory ***igned build sequence number no letters) is usually found on a plate attached to either of the A pillars.

If you do***ents list a number starting P3 or P4 that is the engine number found stamped into a flat spot on the block above the generator.

In some years and models the engine number may be stamped into the frame above the drivers side rear axle, usually covered with lots of crud.

That's where mine is.....

 

I believe it would have been ***led off of the engine serial number, not the body. At least in WI it would be.
Since my '37 is a hotrod, I had it re***led using the body ID tag which is on the door jam as stated.
