The 77-78 lincoln mark v rearend is a factory disc but has to be a big bearing axle and you need to have the caliper brackets which are also the axle retainers on these cars.

I think you & your project are just fine, it's NOT your car I made the comments about , it is your choice of parts, no big deal bros, build it the way you want man.
I am not mad that you are building it the way you are & you will be happy to know my cat feels the same way.
You guys are right, this board is full of A-Holes!
Good luck w/your Model A Bodied Camaro, it sounds real ol skool.

I just did this on my Ford 9". I don't know if it's the cheapest , but it sure was simple . I ordered evrything from a place called Quick Performance Racing in Ames Iowa . I got the weld on caliper brackets , the GM metric calipers with the E brake , and the rotors . I did trim the brackets a little where they mount to the axle tubes and everything fit together perfectly . I had the parts in two days . I also bought the optional steel braided brake lines and would do so again . Great guy to deal with too !

With the help of a few folks on the forum(once again thank you) this last weekend I converted the drums to disc on my project. Brackets from Speedway, Crown Vic Rotors and some metric calipers and I am in business.
