I have a Spirit Industries 23' T bucket frame and I think I want to build a truck instead of a bucket. I would like to use the frame I have for a bobbed rear truck rod. Anyone out there do this before? Its 108" long and 26 1/2'" wide.

Just build a T bucket, they're a lot cooler than bobber trucks.

There was one that may be kind of what you are suggesting at Goodguys in Fort Worth a few years back.

Yes. I ended up stretching it 13" in the middle and something like 30" in the rear so I could use the 28 truck cab and bed I had.

I have a '34 cab on a Total performance T chassis. It looks a little odd but it was really cheap to do (well it hopefully will be when I eventually finish it). In hind sight I would do things a little differently.

What year of truck are you going to put on it? I was guessing you were going to use a fat fender truck with no fenders. There are some good examples of nice trucks in these posts.

  16. Aside from seeing if the wheelbase is appropriate for how you want it to look, be sure to check out your cowl width vs. that of the T-Bucket frame where it will meet the cowl. Might look kinda' strange if the cowl hangs out too much (i.e., over 6") on either side -- but that's just a personal preference. No reason you can't do it.

Hey, that F1 was mine!!! I sold it last week and NO I don't post pictures of it here. However, I get more attention with it than any of my other vehicles. If you don't like it don't look at it!

  18. Do you think it would work on a T bucket frame? Seems like that's what he was asking.
