can any one give me a stock height for a 54 chevy 210? front and rear. i am looking for the height from the ground to the rocker panel front and rear. i also need a measurement from the center of the wheel to the bottem of the wheel well. i just bought a bad *** 54 chevy old school rod with the perfect stance. the problem is the cut springs and lowering blocks give it a bad ride. if i know the stock stance i could come up with the proper info to give eaton spring so they can make me a set of springs to go with a set of modified lower a arms. then i could get a full spring travel and no axle windup. this with new needle bearing king pins would give me a good ride and keep the rod old school. when i get some pics i'll post them. the chevy won the 85 wheels of the world show in washington. believe it or not it still looks great with the exception of the undercarrage. thanks tom

These are the shots I took of my wifes 54 before we lowered it....pretty much self explanatory...and they're all I've got.

I dont have the stock measurements but to help you with the rear end you might wanna consider c-notching the frame and making some lowering blocks. you are also gonna need some smaller shocks in the back. your stock leaf springs will be fine. I lowered my 54 using stock leaf springs, new u-bolts, and 3" lowering blocks, rides great. rode terrible until i c-notched the frame. I also cut 1 and 3/4 coils off the front springs stance is good. if you check out the pics of my 54 the front had only 1 coil cut. hope this helps

  5. Hard to tell, like asking how long is a rope? After all these years I bet you could measure 5 cars and get five diffferent sets of numbers. Spring sag being the biggest issue. Mine is only dropped an inch or so all the way around but it looks like 4".

i finally got a good day to take some pics. from the looks of aceuh pics iam dropped 3 inches all the way around. does any one else have any more info on the stock height so i can have as much info as i can get before i order new springs. to get the 3" drop i now have i want to modify my front lower a arms with stock springs with maybe a 1/2 " lower spring height. then i will order rear springs with a 3 " drop and c notch my rear frame. hopefully that will givr me the same look and a nice ride. does anybody have any advice or thoughts on my plans. i want to change both springs because their either shot or cut.
