Im far along my project to go ahead and start my own build thread. Everything ive done and im doing is budget minded so keep that in mind when you see some bootleged stuff going on . I traded my 67 olds for this 56 sedan deville , top of my most favorite cars. currently doing a 472/th400 swap and putting together the interior The pictures tell the story: Right now its flat black, floors are all welded, have a 472 in but not installed, have new carpet , seats, head liner, cleaned up trim, and best of all i got these wheels stinking up my room waiting to be installed
looking good, i got a 51 caddy myself. I likr the 56 as well also falls into one of my favorite cars. i have a question what type of rims are those and were would i be able to find them?
lookin good. your neighbors must be stoked on the over spray on they cars? the wheels look to be star wires 30 spokes?
Looking good...let's see some updated pix...was the grafitti before or after the sanded pix...??? Have you checked out my '55 Cad build: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=329070&highlight=the+best+55+caddy+build R-
The wheels are Cragar Starwires, they have been discontinued for about 10 years , they are wrapped in coker classics 4" ww. 40stude ive been over your thread more times than i can count. Its helped me work on my swap. Ill post recent pics when i get home. The graffiti happened one drunken night and has been covered up
The more i dig into it the more i realize how much it really needs, its overwhelming at times. Any way , heres my updates The floors is undercoated just need a lil bit of welding here and there. Tommorrow im removing the nasty**** headliner . I salavaged the door panels to run with them a while. I sprayed it blue and black over the emerald green I did a quick rattle can job so itll look less like and abandoned junk I have poor art skills but this is sorta what im gonna go for, highlights on angles , blacked out grill , lowered . if any one can help me with photoshop i would appreciate that
