On must-see stop for anybody with an interest in old cars is the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. The place has a lot more than old cars, but, wow, is it ever worth the trip. Make sure you have an entire day to spend there. It's huge.
Well, technically speaking, Holland is not a country...... But enjoy your trip here, if it is your first to the USA you should find it... interesting
If you're coming to the midwest in May, you gotta hit the Vintage Torque-Fest show in Iowa and the Rust Revival in Missouri. I'd skip Illinois altogether if I were you(we should know) unless you stop by Da Tinman's shop!!! Bryan & Sarah
If you and J-Bird come to the Metro Detroit area you are more then welcome to stay here at the house. I'm about 12 miles from The Henry Ford and there's alot of other car related things to see and do around here in May and June.
Two shows that you would like happento be on when you are here Billetproof - Ypsilanti May 15 Sins of Steel - June 5
thanks alot guys!! didn't know about the museum so that's another one on the list haha,, and no,, i'm not from holland MI ,or any holland in the USA,, it's holland in europe,, you know ,wooden shoe's ,tulips ,coffeeshops, ******s on the redligt district,, cheese,, cheers perry

Yes, that is my Olds in my avatar. I've had it since 2001. I actually have two, both 1947 Olds convertibles. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
Check out Dave Crane in Battle Creek, Mi. Nicest guy ever. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=398276&highlight=dave+crane
Which reminds me, he has a large party/open house at his place every Memorial Day holiday weekend. Not sure what day of the weekend he has it on. Perry can PM him on here though. His HAMB screen name is Dave Crane. It's a party that shouldn't be missed if a person is in the state of Michigan that weekend.
thanks for the info!! checked out his thread,, that guy must be a legend!! damn sweet stuff,, hope the link worked hotrod,, cause i stink at this computer stuff,, and i'm 21!! both yours olds look awesome!! the one in the link was originally a hardtop,, they had to completely redo the floors and stuff to strength'n it,, cheers perry

Welcome to our country. Hope your visit is fun and you get to see what our states and culture have to offer!
In Michigan check out the CCCA museum in Hickory Corners. In the Minneapolis area there are huge cruises every weekend. North St Paul on Fridays and Hastings every other Saturday have '75 and older cars. Back to the '50's June 18th-20, 2010 should have 10,000+ pre '64 cars.
I think the Gilmore Museum is what you were referring to which is located a very short distance from Dave Crane's place. "Two birds, one stone" so to speak. http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/ Here's the link to the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Automobile Museum in Auburn, Indiana. A not to be missed one if you're visting the upper mid-west. Actually not to far from the Gilmore one. http://www.automobilemuseum.org/About/Pages/default.aspx
There's a small junk yard in Bowling Green Ky. That has lots of 30's to 50's cars in it, pretty easy to find.
Not on topic, but here's a musclecar museum in Alabama that might interest you: http://blog.al.com/birmingham-news-stories/2010/03/post_90.html
