Man, that ****s worse than a 10 cent *****! Id be in scuba gear with a winch gettin those things to higher ground!
Thanks to all,it's 6:02 am here right now , I woke up , looked out the window , and I can see the driveway in frot of my Garage , so that means the water is going down , thanks to all who said a prayer for me and mine last night , lets hope that it doesnt rain again today like the weather forcast says it will.....
AW MAN!!!! Thats bad news. Hope it all works out. Asking the Big guy in the sky to help a little.... errr, alot.
I feel for you, and know what you mean, about this winter, and now rain!!! Here in south west Va, its the same way. If we get any rain at all, above a drizzle, the water is out of the banks. Best of luck, and get that 46, out of the lake!!lol
Wow, feel your pain. I just moved from WV to WI in November. Neighbors sent pics of your snow, and now water.....Talked to the Big Guy up there about your problems. Hang in there. Cheers, Bob
Sorry about your cars and equipment. When I lived in "Almost Heaven", we were always amazed at how quickly the water would come up. We lived in the backwoods of Ritchie County and sometimes there'd be days when we couldn't get our car any closer than a half mile from home. Water under house until we got a sump pump=-then need a generator because the power would go off so often. Whew. I hope your family and your cars will be okay soon.
Hey Ratroddude, It appears that Wills and Brush creek have gone down (they feed the Potomac).I do hope that means that the waters will recede greatly there for you! The weather is calling for a let up in the rains today for us. Best wishes for an easy recovery and rehab for all your stuff.
Really sorry to see that happen to you brother. I'd be freaking the **** out if my cars were in that situation.
Thanks to all you guys for praying for me , the big guy upstairs spared my house , and the water is receding , its out of my garage now and all thats left to do is clean up , sounds fun , huh? , it's nice to know that , even though we see different sometimes when it comes to the way that cars are built , that there is still comp***ion when another guy is down , and that is one of the many good things about the hobby we have , Again I would like to personally thank all the people who said a prayer for me and mine over the last couple of days , and now , even though I like the r__ r__ style thats not too popularhere , I am proud to be a part of this board , thank you guys...
Floods ****!!! Glad you all are safe and didn't lose your home. Last year we were hit with a storm from hell, within 2 hrs water was up to the door gl*** on cars in alot of areas. I don't have a ba*****t but I helped a few neighbors pump theirs dry with a wilton air pump I rigged up to a compressor. That bad storm brought alot of neighbors together helping one another, and the outcome was a neighborhood cook out after all was said and done. Something good usually comes from something bad. Good luck and I hope everything goes good for you..
Yeah, this is about what I end up with. I've got a downsloping driveway, garage under the house, typical style. Put a sump pump in the garage a few years ago, and it's the balls. It ran practically all weekend this past weekend. Driveway is a giant puddle, backyard is a giant puddle. Even bought an aux. pump to place in the driveway to evac the water to the pond out back. But the garage now stays dry. God bless man, you're not alone. Hope it all drys out for you quick! Good luck! Pete
I am surprised we haven't heard from the guys in Fargo ND and surrounding area that is going to be affected by the Red River. Then again they are probably busy sandbagging right now. Keep those prayers going for those guys. they get nailed with nasty floods every year but the floods keep getting worse.
My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone in a flood zone, particularly our fellow rodders in Fargo. Yet, I have to wonder why, if you get flooded all the time, anyone chooses to live there. I know, and treasure, the benefits of living along a great river (here the Susquehanna) but still, losing your home and possessions to a sea of mud has to be demoralizing. Keep safe, guys.
