Don't mean to rain on your parade, but a good way to ruin your louver dies is to punch painted panels! We won't do a job unless it's bare metal on both sides and the hood bracing is removed.
That has turned into a hell of a good looking car that really runs too. The guy who did my louvers in my hood wanted a bare hood to do and my buddy who does them now (still I think) prefers bare hoods to punch. As big a pain in the **** it is to sand around the louvers on a hood that was punched bare to begin with I can't imagine the h***le of sanding on one that was punched with paint.
