Looking at taking rear springs off and having them rearched. Looking at the rear mounts, they appear to be "c" shaped. then the shackle attaches at the lower part of the "c". The spring attaches to other side of shackle so that the end of the leaf rests inside the "C". Seems really weird, especially if the leaf seems to be resting against bottom of frame.

Anyone have pics of this on there car? Stock or is it modified. Sorry I don't have a pic yet. Maybe tomorrow night.

so what do you want to know? sounds like yours is correct for '41. I removed the "C" rear mounts and made my own. this lowerd the car, maybe 2-3 inches. I used '57 chevy springs:confused:

Thanks for the pics. My springs appear to be sitting right up next to frame. Like maybe the rear spring mounts were bent. Might try to reinforce them when I take the springs off to re arch them.

Update: I think the bushings are bad which is why it appears to be sitting on frame.
