Folks Of Interest Tuesday Night Model As in Fairbanks

I caught Darryl and Nelson driving around in their Model A Fords on the way home from work tonight.Nelson owns the coupe.Darryl owns the 1930 phaeton.

The phaeton is Canadian built.The story goes that Capt.George Clayton bought 3 Model A Fords in Dawson City,Yukon Territory.One of them being this phaeton.He and 2 other guys flew over to Dawson from Fairbanks and drove the Fords down the Yukon River to Eagle,Alaska in the winter of 1959.They then proceeded to Fairbanks.

Darryl got the tub in a trade deal with John ,who got it from George.He is going to try to get some more of it's history ,keep it as original as he can.................and drive as many sets of tires off of it as he can!
