OK I posted this before without one response. I'll try to state it another way. I have done the searches and know how to install the PCV but have some questions. First I have a 1954 235 Chevy six equipped with Fenton dual intake, dual Rochester B's, and a fuel pump w/o auxilary vacuum. If I tee into the intake vacuum port that I currently have going to the vacuum wipers will this effect the performance of the wipers? Could I plumb into the vacuum port on one of the carbs instead? Will I get enough vacuum at the carb (smaller connection than the intake). I currently only have one carb connected to the distributor advance, the other is capped off. Any advise?
The cam causes the lack of vac. if it his a thumper. You should be Ok taking the vac either place. Use your vac. gauge and check to see which has the most vac, Use the one with the most. IMHO
I believe you could run it off the carb but why do you want a PCV? Just curious since it didn't originally have one.
I want the PCV so that it will draw the gases out of the block even at idle and slow speeds. The draft tube only works at a fair speed. I'm hoping it will stop the build up of oil film in my engine compartment. Engine is in good condition but does have a certain amount of blow by.
