Let's see 'em. In my opinion, they're kinda homely. I nned to make it more presentable.

Dirtbag - You have one of the best looking motors on the HAMB. I you put HotRodDon's smooth Stellings style Bell 4 barrel air cleaner on like that red Model A above your post,
I would not hesitate to call your Ford the best looking engine of all time!!!!

i apreciate the compliment , but idk i don't know if i'd go so far as to say that theres some pretty amazing stuff on here ! and my 302 for is far from traditional , but i did try to disguise it and make it a little easier on the eyes ! yeah the air cleaner on there is just one i had laying around i plan on running sompthing else once i get it back in the roadster pickup ! still tossing around a few ideas !i was thinking tri power originally , but now barry grant has the new setups out that take multiple stromberg type carbs !

I am not normally one of those "do a search before you post" kinda ****s, but there has been a lot of threads with poeple looking for 302 photos and dress up ideas. Look for those threads, lots of good stuff to see there.

Here's the 1964 289 in my '57 F100 and the Yates headed G351 block based motor from our race car. It's still a small block.

Yep, now that is one homely engine. Finished 2nd in the Indy 500 a couple of times. For your ride, subs***ute the G-E carb manifold. Polish manifold, heads and valve covers. That oughta do, I'm thinkin'.

Boss 429, or a Cammer in my eyes are the best looking engines aside from an Early Rocket, or OHV Cad.... Oh and decked out Flathead Caddies...

    There's some pretty cool SBF's here.. I wouldn't mind a 289 w/ a weber set up, back by a 5spd... That would be sweet!!!

Makes a body want to stand up and salute, doesn't it? Especially since these engines won consecutive overall wins on the world stage: LeMans... against a couple of unknowns, Porsche and Ferrari.

I guess I'm wasting my time on this just like this other guy with the bad *** Weber'd Gurnery.... For the record I owned a quite slection of Pontiac factory SD and aftermarket equipment 389s 400s a 455 tripowers dual quad units etc, a 371Olds, a FE, two Y-blocks, a complete turn key pro built and vintage dressed 355 sbc, or choice of a free 350hp 348 and rummaging pop's W collection, three cheap Desoto Hemi's or do***ented gas raced J-2 covered in early speed equipment at the same time I choose to run this 289 and read about them not being "pretty" enough for a hot rod. :D:D:D Times have changed...

Here is that Gurney lifted from the Ford thread, I'm not sure who owns it but I'd give someone a stack of pretty hot rod motors for it.
