Yesterday it was like 75 degrees. Today I woke up to finish pulling my engine on the new 59(three bolts left) and its 28 degrees and snowing. Man I need a fucking garage! Now I'm stuck in the house with nothing to do. Guess its an good day for some art.
    Just needed to rant.

One thing can be said about Texas weather- If'n you don't like it, wait around a bit...it'll change.

The Yankees alway laugh at us when we bitch about 20's, but we get our revenge come summer & they complain that its 90 outside. Heh, 90- thats mild springtime weather....

On a related note, theres a chance of snow flurries here Friday- on the Texas coast!! [IMG] You know its cold when it snows in Corpus Christi....

  11. Saturday night my brothers Fiance called from Dallas, and it was 2 degrees here, she said it was 67 or so. Who's laughing now? [IMG] [IMG]

That must suck, cause I know it sucks here, the news is making a hoopla about all the snow we "may" get...

I'll believe it when I see it, although a white Christmas would be nice for the kids.

I'd still rather be in Dallas. [IMG]

Picked up my in-laws from Mesa AZ at the OKC airport yesterday for the holidays. Then I had to find Herb (daddy-in-law) a hat. 22 for the high but dry. They were born and raised in Esterville Iowa but migrated south years ago. Guess their blood must be getting thin, now they wear a sweater when they visit in the summer. [IMG]

Well, come on down! Hell, that goes for the rest of you too!. There's room left. I got a new pack of hot dog wieners from the store and I'm willing to throw them all on the grill! Ya'll can crash at... well, at what ever hotel you're willing to pay for 'cause you're sure as hell not sleeping at my house. Bring your family and friends too! Just don't bring them over to my place 'cause I really don't care to meet them so much. I've got plenty of parking, as long as you don't bring a car. O and you know what... some one is gonna have to stop and get some hot dog buns 'cause I'm fresh out. But I swear, if anyone wants ketchup on their damned hot dog, I'm 'lible to punch you dead in the throat. Unless you brought beer. Then you can eatum' however you want.

Here in NoDak we get 100+ in the summer and -30 in the
winter! Oh,and one day in the 70s in June. Where else you going to find that kind of variety? I gotta get outta here someday. [IMG]

  19. NORTHEAST MISSOURI=it will get down to 1 degree above zero here tonite with -16 wind chill index......day highs 12-16 degrees thru Christmas at least no snow! [IMG]

  20. Dont laugh, but I used a Coleman propane camping stove to heat my Chevelle back in High School. I removed the stock heater assembly to eliminate "excess weight"... yea like a total of 20 pounds. That shit was fine in the summer time but when it started getting cold out..damn fool I was. Worked great but the car smelled like burnt bratwurst. I never could get that smell out. I bought those hanging air fresheners buy the case. Dumb move.

Being Cali born and raised,I wholeheartedly agree WINTER SUCKS!! The freaks from Michigan down here wear thier shorts and sleevless shirts at anything over30 degrees! I think we should all do our part to contribute to GLOBAL WARMING! (sounds good to me) Now I have to rig up a HEATER in my rod just so I dont get FROSTBITE,going to the quickie mart! Hell,I didn't even HAVE a heater core in my shoebox for 25 years, until I moved to "The sunny south' I am not too pissed off, just a little RANT [IMG] [IMG]

Yeah, I guess I am just a pussy, supposed to get 23 here tonight, up in 30s tomorrow. For a lot of you guys thats a warm day. Oh well, after I drive the tractor, no cab, over to the pasture where the cows are now and put out some hay maybe I will feel like getting in the unheated garage & doing some welding, since I got 4 days off. [IMG]
    Oh yeah, Merry Christmas everyone!!

I think you're right Eddie, maybe some welding would warm me up. I still need to make a class three hitch for my truck. LOL

Damn it was cold this morning. White Christmas my ass, it's been pretty warm up to now, why start with all this cold jazz? [IMG]

The snow missed us. Sun's shinning and it's up to 6 degrees (-5 windchill).
It was -2 (Windchill -12) when I got to work this morning.
    Chevelle fired right up.
We've only got a skiff of snow on the ground. We could use the moisture but at least I don't have to shovel a path to the car.
The GMB's will be digging out today.

Oh you Texas whiners. =P You shoulda been up here in the winter of 97! 75 some odd feet of snow from january to april here.

only scary thing is that none of you probably know how to drive in it. One thing i noticed after living in a city with a Air Force base, none of these southern boys had really seen snow let alone drivien in it, scared the hell out of me to drive with those guys on the road. Always seing those imports piled in the ditch on the road to the base made me chuckle.

woke up to -18 degrees this morning. In a week your snow wont be there anymore, i have to live with it for 5-6 more months.

Dakota if I was you I'd move cold and snow suck. We may get snow once every two years and every ass around is having wrecks because of a frozen bridge or two. I'm not trying to compare dicks here just want to get a motor out my car. Anyway I'd rather be here than most places and I grew up in southern Cali so Im tropical people.
Bust out the heaters and get some work done on those cars although it is warm by the computer on the HAMB. Even though alot of people seem grumpy have you seen X-gassers post about trespassing.
