Might be a home made set up? I think I recall there being a thread about manufacturers making or customizing certain vehicles for South America...

From what I can tell by looking at them, they look like sedans with the back cut off.

Pontiac offered 2 different sedan deliveries in the 1927~28 models.

One had a solid body like most other sedan deliveries.

The other had a screen delivery body with a solid top. It basically looked like a pickup with a solid top extending over the bed. There was a bed that looked like a pickup; with screened sides between the top of the bed and the top.

I have pictures in the original dealership sales album, but have never seen this body.

If you were to remove the screening, and cut the top right behind the p***enger compartment, it would look exactly like a pickup.

It may be a special made for the forestry service. I have seen with my own eyes a Buick roadster pickup from the same time period (late twenties) for the forestry service.

The gl*** has been swapped out for gasketed replacements, and a rectangular one in the rear, but that is a Pontiac Pickup all right. Quite the rare animal these days.

I have never seen one moving under its own power, just rotting into the ground in the forest.
