    Hi there
I'm looking for the address of the Trend body shop out side of Chicago. I don't have any more information than that. There was a custom called the Trendero sitting there under some plastic and I'm curious if it's still there. Anybody know if it's still around?
    John.

I believe it's now here in Minnesota in Mark Moriarity's hands. For those who don't know, he's the guy who has restored/cloned several of Roth's cars...

Yes, I bought the trendero from John Malik. He retired and moved to florida 5 years ago. the trendero was last shown at the new york worlds fair 1964/5. And yes it will be at rock n rods in bloomington Ill this weekend in as found condition. I am knee deep in restoring the car craft dream rod, so the trendero will have to wait its turn

    Mark,
couldn't have gotten in better hands. I've been with the trendero since day one, have all the construction photos, etc. Dave, john, and **** where great friends over all the years, still are today, except dave has p***ed on and i have lot of his stuff from his daughter. I would have had it if i would have had the $500! Ha ha......best in the future....fuzzy

well lets corrert one thing. all of the pics that fuzz post about dave, he got from dave's step daughter, after dave pasted away..he has stated that he help build the trendero.(wrong--just ask **** scully--dave's brother-in-law and partner in house of customs.)i have e-mails from fuzzy saying he is wrong.granted the pics are great and sharing them is great.(he also has from what he has told me alot of paperwork as well----still will not let me see this stuff after 2 years.).. for bonez ..the trendero was started in dave's grandmothers garage on the norht side of chicago, he went to trend and him and john finished it there.alot of problems started at trend with this great car, dave was always upset that the engine was non-working.from what my dad and some of dave's freinds say is that he could not do alot of normal boby work-like take a fender or door off and then replace it and get the seams right. but he could make a door or fender on the car and it would be better then new.
