In order to protect the innocent, I won't mention any names of who I saw... but there was a few interesting cars. On the flip side, the dumb old ***** at the gate wouldn't let my GF bring in a bottle of tap water to drink (we're in FL, most places here will let you bring in enough water to keep you hydrated, including the outdoor concert venue that shares the fairground parking lot). I saw 2 sets of fake hemi covers on SBCs, Lotsa Garlit's fake injector tube air cleaners. This will be the last NSRA show I go to. This is a recent build, steel body. The other hood side had a white, chrome trimmed two-tone panel with Pontiac stars. Flathead w/Merc 8CMs 32 w/hemi and Halibrands nad a quicky but, <sigh> radials Pretty nice 3w Lotta SoCal stuff and a 33 Ford I liked this Somebody mentioned this car about 6 months ago, something about an upholsterer??? The Corvette bumpers looked like they grew there; unfortunately it had a stock rear bumper. REJ posted pics of this a while back Mostly Stude, some HenryJ and a Chrysler nose And the prize for best use of Tbird parts goes to... Useful rod
Same here. Go to "view page source" and get the direct link... takes you to the Geocities page. Looks like the bandwidth was exceeded. - Matt
Try it again, when I post them it usually takes an hour before the band width exceeded thing goes away.
Hey Mike the Longleys up in Deland built that purple 32, its a brookville on an orig frame, truck trans and open drive banjo, and my old BLC lights. nice build
I would swear that the owner told us that the whole car was built in Maryland....Maybe he said Deland....
Am I the only one that thinks this is way cool? Refreshing to see some different **** now and then. JT
I love the car,but the white panel on the hood doesn't work for me. I've used those stars on a 32 before.Put 'em on the dash on a ex-friends car.
All things come to he who waits. The pics finally made it to the Northeast Thanks for the pictures. I'll tak the Deuce hiboy.
Might try something like Photobucket next time. I've been using it for a while now and I find myself throwing pictures up there more often than on my regular sites.
I was told that there was some discussion on this car and thought I'd chime in. Dad and I did build the car for Ron Hartwell. He is from M***. but lives in New Smyrna beach now. The hood side trim was my idea. It's '37 Ford trim mounted backwards and trimmed to be the same length. The owner wanted to carry the white trim of the firewall to the outside of the car when the hood was on but without using graphics like scallops. Originally we were going to punch a row of louvers inside the trim and section the last two to fit the trim shape but budget left me to my own devices. I like it. Glad some of you do. It's not for everybody but it is a traditional solution using period parts. Thanks for the other nice comments. Hope this clears up the ownership and origin questions. Regards-Mike Longley
