We've lost another HAMB'er...RIP Dirtroad (aka Dusty)

I just figured I'd start this to make others aware that we lost another HAMB member recently. Dusty a.k.a. Dirtroad passed away after seeking out and finding his dream hotrod. I'm not good at typing and I personally didn't know Dusty, but he had started a thread here asking fellow HAMBers for advice about some rods he was considering buying. I'll put a link to that thread. Please read through it. It tells of his journy to find and buy himself his dream car...his purchase, and then his best friend Newt comes on to inform his HAMB friends that Dusty passed away. Before getting his car home... This really is a great story to folow along, but a very very sad ending to the story. RIP Dusty...

Man I just read the whole thread for the first time. I am definitely blown away. RIP Dusty. At least you got to go on a great adventure until the end. Makes me think how fragile life really is.

My condolences to his family and friends. The one consolation is that his physical being passed on a very happy man.

 

That is truly a sad story. It is a good reminder to us all that we should try and make the most of every. Easy to say, hard to do as we all know.

 

I was really enjoying the stories that were being told during the car adventure and cannot believe he is now gone. Life is short. Prayers for his wife, family and friends.

Just read the post where he was looking for his next ride. We have all been there and will all get to where he is today. We all know this, but this seemed so sudden it really hits you.
