well we got our hotel rooms for sunday threw tuesday, and we are going to leave saterday morning and drive to twin falls or maby wells, We are taking the hot rods again, and have a few other rods that are going to convoy with us as well as a silver eagle with a viewing deck and car trailer as a chase vehicle. Everyone is going down together but getting back on their own(we are going to head south to red rock country for the rest of the week)

So anyone that wants to join in for the trip, we will leave lewiston as early as possible saturday, and head down threw mcCall and then turn east at banks and head threw stanley and sunvalley to avoid the freeway and see some really nice country.

Let us know if anyone is interested.

Why does Bonneville have to be so far from me? Otherwise I'd do a weekend trip or something. I'm gonna make it one of these years.

there is a show both friday and saturday nights in Wendover that last most of the night. Pretty good gathering of hotrods and some customs, all cars who made the trek.

You could bring a tent and sleeping bag and crash at the bend in the road where alot of people including myself, camp out. Spend friday night there and then off to the motel.

I will probably head out from Boise wed or thursday. I love to watch the cars and campers come rolling in.

That Banks .Lowman ,Stanley, Sun Valley route is a lot of work just to avoid 90
miles of Interstate .I bet in the time you would save coming to Boi Angeles then
going east to Bliss (yes non Idahoans we have a town called Bliss) then down through Hagerman to Hiwy 93 .could put you in Bwendover that night ! I like to drive too and Stanley is Beutiful but Sun Valley ICK ! There are several Boise people that go to Speedweek could join up!

Ah getting there is half the fun we ran the same route last year it has really nice 2 lane blacktop and! some spectacular views, I went to the GM ASEP program in twinfalls for college and that interstat is really the armpit of idaho in my opinion, nothing but wind and sage brush:eek:

Man I hope it works out for me this year. I have been wanting to go for the last 2 years. We will camp. Sounds like it would be a blast to have a caravan down.

    Hey Rob,
The KS car club is heading headed down to Bonneville this year as well. We are heading down on Thursday and will get to the salt sometime on Friday. A few of us are pulling Canned Ham trailers with the hot rods. You should consider heading down with us. I am sure we can find room for sleeping for the few nights. There is a bunch of people from Boise area that will be joining along the way as well. Let me know if you want more details.

I'm from Boise also and you defiantly chose the right way to go. Just watch for rocks in the road on the leg from Garden Valley to Lowman. I was just up there last week and the roads were great.
