Hi folks, finally got off my ass and registered. Been lurking around here off and on for awhile. I'm an active member of MANY automotive forums, have been for many years. I have been an avid motorhead for nearly 30 years, since childhood basically. As I get older, my taste in machinery is changing. I recently aquired my first flathead ford V8 a few months ago and I am gearing up to build something to put it in. I am hoping to get some good ideas from you guys.
Yeah...mine's a peach. I bought it from the original owner's family with only 61k on the clock. Had a 250 and a powerglide in it, now it has an LT1 and a muncie 4-speed, 12-bolt with a 3.55 gear. The car spent its entire life in Fresno, CA, so its 100% rust-free. Here's a few pics... Right after I got it...sporting about a 20 year old Earl Schibe paint job... This is the original paint on the bottom of the car....amazing... Here it is now... Engine compartment:
