how many dads out there refuse to grow up. my pop is 75 and he's still doing kids stuff. i'm very proud to be his son!
Well good for your Dad! You must be very proud of him. What's that motto? oh yeah, "Grow Old Disgracefully".
I'm only 64, but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up! Like they say, getting older is mandatory - growing up is optional!
Hell,I'm 76 and still not grown up..not looking forward to it either. See ya'll at the Roundup !!!!!!!
That's so cool. I truly hope I'm like that at his age...probably will be. I'm envious. My dad was always too doggone serious. LOL. Thanks for the smile!
Good on you for recognizing that, edwierd .You have the right at***ude, now. Let's keep it that way. Let's hope you don't change and get like a lot of kids do, thinking it's their job to decide whether what dad thinks is appropriate or not. Should the day come, where you start thiniking that way, is the day you should buzz off........ I'm 73, last week. Couldn't play with cars when I was a kid, had to work, but now I can. I'm a kid again, life's just starting, plan on being around until I'm over a hunnert..........
Mom made my Dad sell his airplane a couple of years ago, when he was only 86. I think Dad and I are both still disappointed.
Thats great that he still does from what it looks like pretty much anything he wants. I have a lot of older friends in their 80's that are a lot like him and just as active. One friend Gene still builds a couple motors a year at his house usually Flathead V-8's or bangers. Its a lot of fun watching him work and he's 94. Michael Michael
There's an old saying "youth is wasted on the young" - ? BS! Great to see oldtimers still being kids. Just - be careful, don't break a hip! Good for your dad, looks like he's a great role model.
my dad p***ed on at a young age so in the hot rod world i have adopted any dads that will have me big thanks to them
at 65 I still think the same as I did at 20. Still like the same things and have a stash of projects to keep me going until I decide that growing up will be more fun (fat chance). Now that both of my knees have been replaced I'm looking forward to many more years of being irresponsible. Tell your dad if you can't keep up with him have him stop by and we'll do lunch and go to the drag strip. Frank
