Hey Denny; This is a great board (and you know i've post on a few) tons of knowledge, a great bunch guys (and girls). all gearheads.......... nice to see you here. you'll be a good fit.

I got your list of ideas wrote down, and i was wondering about adding air bags to it? I'm guessing you want to keep it traditional'ish looking. but would the ability to lower and raise the ride be nice? I know you can transfer good, but i can't get the idea of a ramp out of my mind.... just thinking.

this panel has a cool opening roof, i assume it's for more head room (could be done to anything really) also has a ramp and airbags

This was the car I was thinking of when I talked about Phil Weiand and an Olds-powered sedan.

    Thanks for posting that.

I'm still looking for information or help on a hand operated clutch... I don't have the full use of my left leg and want to run a VW bug (I know, I know).

Sorry I'm not completely on topic here, but I'm hoping someone might have some info that could help. I've considered running a MC master cylinder to a slave cylinder, but is that unrealistic as far as lever pull is concerned?

I've been in a wheelchair for 9 years and currently own a scion xb... i've always been in love with old model A tudor sedans and really got my scion because it was the closest looking car to a model A i could find. I've been looking through as many charities as i can and found many for vets and make a wish foundation, but nothing for disabled citizens. I don't know if anybody on here knows of any garages or builders that donate old hot rods to the disabled, but anything could help. My dad has leukemia and we used to build cars together when i was a teenager and both of us now can't really do much. I would just loe more than anything to get my hands on a model a that i can cruise his old ass around in before he passes away. Just to have something i can love forever and let him get some of his youth back. I've sent emails to places willing to trade my car for one or use it as a core for funding.... i've just hit nothing but walls, and living on a very tight limited budget doesn't allow me to finance or purchase one. Anybody know of anyone? Thanks

Look at DADC (drivingaids.com) that's what I use in all my cars, fairly easy install. Motorcycle twist style accelerater so you just need to run a cable to the carb and a rod to the brake. If I can help you in any way let me know.

Have you seen this? This happy disabled driver is using a DADC hand control to enjoy rally racing in his MINI Cooper! He just participated in the MINIs Take the States from California to Boston!
