Will the tail pan from a sedan fit on a coupe? Can't find coupe parts, but I got a line on a tailpan from a 35 sedan if that'll fit.
I don't know if this will help but this site sells sheet metal for '37-38 BOPs and they list the coupe parts differently than the sedans for these years. http://www.exploringthenorth.com/kemp/replacement/parts.html I don't know much about these cars, I just got a '37 last fall so I'm learning. GM liked doing drastic changes from model year to year during these years so the differences might not be the same for the '36 model year.
Thanks for the info. But like you said GM liked changing things. I know that 35 and 36 BOP coupes were pretty much the same except 35's had suicide doors like the 36 chevy. 37 up BOP's are a completely different animal. That's when they took out the wood, too. I guess I'll cross the ole fingers and keep on searching. Maybe I'll just have to make my own stuff. Good excuse to buy/make more tools.
The wood bodied cars is one reason I got my '37, if it were an old model I would ran away from it. I didn't want anything to do with a wood bodied car. I'm not a carpenter, I can weld and patch metal all day but I tend to split wood every time I deal with it. Also, from what I've heard the wood acts like a sponge and tends to make the metal rot from the inside out, not that my '37 doesn't have it's share of rot. I can only imagine if it had wood framing.
