The camper is sick, wasnt it posted some days ago already? Looks a bit like a paper model though!

The reason you don't see them at all these days is that the roof gutters were the ONLY thing that hitch mounted to. More than one of those failed when they were in use. Cool idea. Lousy engineering. Plus, even a Super Beetle with that couldn't MAKE 70 mph, unless it was on its was down Loveland P*** or Donner Summit, with a tailwind...what brakes???

The hitch was not mounted to the roof gutters.
