I traded (as soon as I see the paperwork).

He told me to take the car home today but it'll be Saturday or Sunday.

First off, I'll probably see if I can get it running/driving. It looks pretty complete as far as the drivetrain goes. The previous owner said it was running about 10 years ago. The oil looks good. It's missing a couple ends off of the brake rods. Somebody installed a small gas tank under the hood which tells me the original tank is rusted out.

The wood will be a challenge but most of it is good enough to make patterns. I have a bunch of cured Keruing Apitong hardwood (similar to Teak) that I can make replacement pieces. Some of the wood might be replaced with metal if a dimensional size will fit.

There's a buncha' stuff stored inside the car, a set of extra doors, a rear apron, visor and some other stuff buried under it all. Oh and some wood too but doesn't look like a kit.

Cl***ic Wood in N.Carolina makes great wood kits. Maybe check them out. Also maybe that gas tank is just dirty, maybe it just needs to be cleaned out. You could make a great car out of that or just put a tudor body on that ch***is. Just a thought.

...and this is one of 'em.
    Suicide rear doors. Kewl.
Crummy rear access in 2dr style.
    Lovin' a MorDor A-bone!

    That 55 MorDor Survivor is
    another fabulous car.

When the 2drs get too spendy/rare,
the MorDor merits become more obvious.
    Which is an affordable way
to get into the same basic car.

Didn't think that way when I was younger.

  11. Good trade. Only diff between an A motor and a AA is that the AA may have had counterweights added during a rebuild back in the day otherwise they are the exact same engine. You may have just aquired a very desireable crank. Drop that pan and find out!

I'd be tradin' that truck for........whatever I could get. The Model A just way over the top trumps the truck.
