Yeah,,well,I say yeah,,I first tried a 52/53 because I didn't like the flat spot for the bumperettes that I didn't intend on using,,but reality set in when I discovered I needed a different splash apron and the '54 was already painted and ready to install.

What does yours look like?,,maybe the photo is misleading,,here's another from a different angle.

The body is still at Dads garage in MN, I got the ch***is and engine down here with me. I'll go back and get the body as soon as I'm done with the ch***is.

You really are doing a beautiful job with that car. My father bought one brand new in '54. As a teenager in the early '60's I hated that car now I sure wish I could find one just like it. He traded it in on a '65 Falcon wagon, which he drove for 225,000 miles - it finally rusted away.

This is evidence Ford made some nice cars back then, heck even a wagon like that looks cool.

You have mad skills and are doing a great job. :)

With that in now it should GO as good as it looks. With your fine work it looks like it came from the factory with it.

Your wife is going to have a way better transportation piece than any SUV in existence in my opinion. Tell her I'll trade a new minivan for the wagon and let me know when I can deliver it.:eek::D

You're getting closer by the day , Danny.
It's looking better all the time.

Are you going to run without a hood to show off that beautiful engine?

    Soon!

I got a lot of work done under the hood this past week,,

I now have the clutch cable installed and working like it should.

When I installed the spark plug wires I realized that the air cleaner sat on top of the wires going to the distributor so I had to get a spacer to use under the carburetor for clearance.

I made my 3rd and final alternator bracket,,the other 2 ended up in the s**** pile.

Got all the air conditioner hoses routed and installed and found the right size belts and hoses for the radiator.

Next on the list is gas line and filter,,throttle linkage, heater hoses and a couple of other small odds & ends,,,I'm happy with the way it turned out,,not too flashy and a little understated. HRP
