It should. I have never put a manual behind a Caddy engine, but a TH400 from a Caddy will bolt right up to a Pontiac. Some of the BOP bells have dual bolt patterns for Muncie/Saginaw/BW trans, and a Ford pattern, as Pontiac used the Deerborn 3 spd as a H/D option on the 350 Firebirds of the early 70's.
Agreed. "Modern" Buick, Olds, Pontiac, and Cadillac share the same pattern. Don't know from actual experience, but I've read that the Cadillac crank is not machined for a pilot bushing since they were never offered with a manual trans. Just thought you may want to check that if you haven't. Bob
double check to see if the bell has dual starter pockets, not sure what side the starter mounts on the caddy. pontiac is on the left side. It should bolt up but you better have one hell of a trans to hold it. I was talked out of bolting my 472 to the Muncie M-22 because of the torque of the Caddy compared to a BBC.
It will bolt up, but you can only use the Pontiac bell housing if it has dual starter locations. Only Buick has the same stock starter location as the Cadillac (p***enger side starter).
