I have one from a 33 or 35. I think they were used only in the mid 30's

Plymouths in the 30's up to about '38, Chrysler and DeSoto went to IFS by then.

  4. '39 was first year for IFS.

I think that '35-'36 were the years that the double-bend axle was used. I have three or four of them. One under my new project.

They were used from 33-38 except long wheel base 34 Plymouth. The dip in the middle was different from one year to the next. Some of them had the dip angled to the front. I've seen them with 49-54 Chevy spindles mounted which lets you use more readily available bearings and seals.

  8. they can also be machined to use the 37-48 Ford spindle and kingpin, which opens up a bunch of options- like lincoln backing plates and Buick drums.

Mine is a '36 Plymouth. I also have a '33 axle, but the double dip goes down instead of toward the front like the '36. I am using Ford passenger car spindles with F100 brakes. It was pretty easy to do.

  13. This I-beam I found under a welding rig and put under a trailer.
Anyone know what it is or what era? Pickup since it is I-beam?

  15. I'm using one of those in my 51 Henry J drag car, with Jag discs. I've been using it for barbell curls, nice and easy on the wrists...
