Any HAMBers in this area? I grew up in Pensacola and left the area in 84 for the ARMY. Have only been back on a few occasions to visit and didnt find anything happening there anymore...Considering strongly of moving back. The chicken box is no longer there and no one hangs out up by university mall....whats the happenings? Is atmore dragway still open?
The Atmore drag strip is still open. The Pensacola Rod-Tiques Street Rod club is still active, I will be going to the Sunny Beaches Pre 49 Rod Run 4/16 - 4/18 held at the Comfort Inn at the beach, I always have fun there, Info: Chad 850-293-0314, Marty 850-944-6014.
I moved away in 2005 there was still clean up from Hurricane Ivan.Used to work @ NAS.They opened Emerald Coast Dragway east of Milton near Holt, has a pretty good turn out.
