You're going to drive by the guy's house (who tried to chop the car in the first place) when you take it home, right? I hope so... And hang your camera out the window so you can get a shot of his face as he turns to look...

There it is! Turned out nice enough I think.

As far as blasting its was gonna be almost 200 bucks and a week or 2 wait to get it done, to spendy and to much time wasted.

Man, thanks again Jay, ive been tinkering with it all day now. I cant wait for the shitty weather to pass this weekend so I can get in some grinding time.

Looks good and some great looking work but I think I would have gone ahead and chopped it while I was at it. That way you would only have to have the glass cut once.

Thanks for sharing this with us Da Tinman. I learned and picked up a few things that will get used on the 48 in the upcoming months when I build the new cab and in the process fix all the hiccups that are in the old one.

Well, here's a few shots to give you guys and update. A lot of hours on the grinder, shot it in cheap primer to keep from rusting, and now on to putty and finish work.

Wow. Does that light colored primer ever make the top look TALL! Are you sure you didn't add any to the posts? Seriously, it looks great.

Haha, you guys are all right though. I sat out in the yard for about 10 beers, i mean minutes, and thought about how tall it is. But I think its turning out good. I just need to drive it for the rest of the year. It needs a lot of little stuff, so Im not going to get serious about the body until winter. I like the paint, but it was already someones idea, so Ill have to make it my own. Im thinking suede blue??? Feel free to photoshop it all you want :)
