Ok, I,m a FNG, ain,t been called that since Nam! Heres the deal.
Have a 47 Ford Tudor needing some rust repair, mainly the rocker boxes. Have the boxes, left door jamb piece and quarter behind the door jamb to fender. Looking for someone in the South Jersey area that could assist.
Got a quote from a local restoration shop, between $7500 - $10,000!!! Whats up with that? thats all he would do. Hell, the floors and the rest of the car is solid. Maybe was a gentlemens way of saying "I don't want the job". If thats the case, just say so, you won't hurt my feelings.

Can anyone point me in some direction here,Please

sounds like a price from some one who knows what he will find when he cuts into the car to replace that stuff

For that money, you should be able to get the entire floor replaced along with the rockers. If he had to fab the rockers, it would be a different story.

  7. I priced out rockers for my 42 Ford coupe, and it came out to around $720 for front to back, left and right sides. I tried to factor in labor, shop costs, etc. and I still can't come anywhere near $7500, let alone 10K. Find a different shop.
