52-53 Merc w/302...what oil pan to use?

Alright folks- I'm rapidly working on my rig (installing an HO 302/C4 into a 53) to get it running for this summers upcoming shows and the one thing holding me back is the f'ing oil pan. What oil pan do I need?.... Already tried a fox-body mustang and a late model econoline pan, so those are out. .....where to go from here?...

Excited to see your Merc, I just got my '52 running last week. I am running a Flatty so I cannot help you with the 302 but I am excited none the less!

 

Early Bronco, no?

I think a 302 Bronco oil pan might work. The early ones if you can find them.

 

Thanks JeffreyJames- I had the flatty in up till last sept when the ring'n valve issue happened. Went the sbf route. I'll post up my build soon!

Well if you can't find one , are you good with a welder ? Just cut the pan you have and re-weld to make the bottom fit . I have seen that one done many times . I am putting a 302 into my 55 Ford Fairlane and I am going to try and use the stock Mustang oil pan . If it's close I will cut mine and re-weld to fit .

Like the others have said,early Bronco,cause it has a rear sump.
