I heard about this on the radio this morning. Starts at 9:00. http://www.sanjacinto-museum.org/About_Us/Calendar/ March 2010 March 20: 27th Annual Old Car Picnic, sponsored by the FORDs Car Club. See hundreds of classic cars, none newer than 1980 models. Awards are presented at 2:00 p.m.
Sounds great. A good pre-Round-up shake down run. I don't know this club, do the they frown on the stuff we do to old Fords?
Did anyone go? I went to it last year and there was a good turn out. I mean't to mark it in my calendar but forgot.
I wish I would have saw this post sooner....are there any other car meets or anything like this coming up?
First night of the nifty fifties on Sping Cypress Rd. off of FM249 is Sat. April 3rd. If you have never been, the first night of the year is pretty good turn out 600 to 700 cars all 1970 and under. Lot of new winter builds come out.
I really want to get out there one Saturday; I want to meet Wayne Kleb and talk to him about "Satan's Chariot", my favorite 50s-60s show rod.
