I finally went legit, and got a membership. The guilt had been racking up for a long time, as I've gotten SO much guidance and info from this site and its members....with limited muss and fuss from the peanut gallery To anyone that's on the fence, even if you don't plan to use it for the discounts or whatnot, if you've really gotten a benefit from this place, don't put off the $50 for so long...all the while buying tons of chrome doo-dads for your ride. Put off that chrome shifter knob for a month and go legit No...I wasn't paid to say that...that's the guilt talking
I just signed up Monday, been a little low on the money around my house, got a little ahead and made the move. I'm glad I did, this place is the rock of all hot rodding and racing, and Ryan is the man for doing all he does.
Its about time you freeloader! Not get busy buying some stuff and getting some discounts from some of the Alliance Vendors, starting with me!!
Just cause you joined the alliance ,Doesn't make you not a free loader .It just makes you a free loader with a title .Like me.....
I've got 4 Alliance tags pinned to my bulletin board right next to my computer. I've yet to make a purchase from any of the vendors but it's the best bargin I've gotten in years. There is no way to get the information, contacts and friendships that are available here for many times the Alliance membership. Ryan has done a marvelous job of creating this site for all of us to hang out with people of like interest. As long as he makes it available I'll be here (barring being thrown out for being me) Frank
LOL good move man. I decided I'm gonna join the alliance the first time I drive the coupe outta my driveway. Then I can I be sure it's worth the money and all the advice I've gotten on here was'nt just smoke and mirrors. That also means if I die on the test drive, I'm blaming you guys. Hahaha. Yo if ya need help on your project, I might be able to spare a day in April sometime!
been lurking around here since the start and cant wait till the funds allow. I want a plate for the roadster!
I'm a cheap SOB, but as soon as I pull the trigger on a coupe body, the Alliance Membership is next. Does that make me a conformist...?
This site had a lot to do with my "renewal" of vows to complete "The Worlds Longest Garage Project". It never ceases to amaze me the depth of knowledge of all who "live" on this board. Buying a membership was the least I could do to begin to return the favor. (While working within the constraints of a new, fixed budget) Now I look forward to getting to know some local HAMBers, and "stimulating" the local economy of our vendors. "Hats Off" to you all!! Robb
I dropped a couple of magazine subscriptions and used that money to pay for mine. I get a lot more out of the HAMB than the magazines.
I still feel good after buying my membership, and it even feels better when I look at my HAMB plaque prodly displayed on my firewall.
