I've been working on this thing for a year and tonight I was able to back it down the driveway and drive it back into the garage under it's own power. YAY!!!!!

I'm so excited!!!! I have a ton of work left to do to it, but this really gets me pumped even more about it.

Here is a video of the maiden voyage.

That's a good start... it runs, moves, and stops on it's own. I bet it felt great.

Woah... Ya think? like it is now? I've never made it to the roundup, but do they have a place for halfway built rods? Don't tempt me like that!!!

I'll have to trailer it to Austin though :(

Thanks! I thought I was still a ways out form it, but yesterday things came together very well and quickly and before I knew it, I was getting it ready to move. I'm still a long way off from it being ready to drive around and appear somewhat legal, but this just gave me a boost more than I had before to get it there!

I think your's might be a lot closer to finished when you first drive yours though! I got in a hurry to see mine move and I have totally neglected any body work and I have a ton of it to do! Are you still living around the corner from me? I can't believe we haven't gotten together yet.

Thanks man! This is my first time starting with something that was this far away from running. In the past I have taken running cars and changed them. This has been totally different. It's awesome.

Hey Terry, I still haven't successfully found your place. I've made lame attempts so far.

I bet ya'll are working constantly at this point getting this close. I think if I had about a week off and all the parts I needed on hand I could probably make a pretty good attempt, but what you could see in the video it really all there is to the car at this point. Lots and lots of work left. And seems like something is always coming up as to why I can't spend more time on it.

I'm planning to go to the LSRU either way though - with or without the car.

If I haven't met you in person by then, then I'll hopefully meet you there!
