I am working on a T coupe at the shop that may have gasser history. It was originally built in the early sixties. It was medium blue metallic and may have been running a 392. It may have been built by Jerry Ault. Had a chrome hoop rollbar and a capped pipe bumper on the back. It was built on a Model A frame and ran several different drivetrain combos over the years. Looking for any info or pics. Also has chrome garnish moldings and may have been a really nice car for the time. Thanks.
I don't believe you have Aults old car.A fellow Hamb member built a Hot Rod out of Aults old T in the early eighties.I believe he still has the glass doors off of the car.Ault still has a engine reman shop in Dayton. You might give him a call.
What color did he paint it? This car has been through many changes and the paint that is on it now may have been done in the eighties. It seems to be the only paint over the blue and it appears to be Honduras Maroon.
Cool, Its obvious to me that the car I am working on was never this car. The cowl was never cut out for the steering like this car. Thanks for the pic. Anbody have any pics of 60s t gassers besides this one?
This one was raced around 1960 by a friend's father, they just pulled it out of the woods a year ago, got the same 348 running again and have been displaying it at several nostalgia events.
