Oh man. I should have realized. Isn't that the "Tobacco King" I can't remember where I read about that. Garage magazine perhaps? So cool....I'm beyond words. I want.
Garage magazine had a huge article about turbonique. With all the rules and regulations out there today half the great ideas that made it onto the track fifty years ago would be squashed on todays strips.
anybody get a selling price on the "tobacco king" monster? it looks like the company was flogging these torbo-netics kits to whoever might be interested.
Here are a few good turbonique threads: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=260208&highlight=turbonique http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=190391&highlight=turbonique http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=175695&highlight=turbonique
""Such an installation can give you and additional 360hp without raising the hood or touching your stock engine."" I'm sold...

Their ads were in all the older(60's-70's) magazines. I remember them from when I was just a kid in Dad's magazines.
Mazooma I have actually seen that car or one like it at a strip in North California. I always thought they were a coool idea and have wanted on to go on a streeter for the extra boost since I was a kid. It like Old school nitrous. It just gives you that extra shot when you need it most.
