Event Coverage Charlotte Auto Fair April 8-11

Mike come by the house to pick me up. I lost my drive license. I need a ride bad. I also need $2000.00 to send on some junk. Please let me know as soon as possible.

 

Just a note that anyone that wants parts delivered to Auto Fair and save shipping charges, please have orders placed by April 2nd.

Why now that you mention it, I was going to leave it at home and just come south for the warm sunshine, southern hospitality, the azalea in bloom, acres of rusty car parts and listen to the stories of the transplant northerners trying to pull fast ones on the locals but if it will make you happy I will and be wandering around or parked a ZB28.

 

Awww, yeah. I'll be wandering all weekend. My truck will be in the show area sat an Sun.

I am really excited as it draws closer and closer and the depressing felling that I had about not going to Austin this year is fading and fading quick. I think the swap will be awesome and the Party is surely going to be a blast!

The docs sent the biopsy off to Duke and he is still waiting to hear. I talked to him yesterday and he has been sitting by the phone all week. He still has a great attitude and is still planning on making it to Charlotte. He went to an auction Thursday night and bought some wire looms to bring. Tough old bastard.

Looks like I will be in the country still,so count me in... Not bringing the truck though.

 

Just made the 500 mile round trip to my parents house for the weekend in my '46 Ford pickup. I went to dad's oncologist appointment last Thursday and.... it looks like we are going. They are going to start treatment after he gets back from Charlotte.

Over the weekend I helped him load his truck and get ready. Mom is coming too to keep him company during the drive. I guess I'll be seeing y'all there.

Trailer #1 loaded with fenders and miscellaneous parts and delivered to my father's - check!

Trailer #2 with the Dodge Brothers Sedan I'm hoping to sell loaded on it - check!

I have a trailer tire to pull and replace in the morning, load a tri-carb, various manifolds, carbs, and odd-ball junk - then it's the drive to Denton (about an hour away from the track) to empty a few items out of my shed, back to my father's to load up items from his shed, load the coolers with ice, beer, and a couple sandwiches....and we're ready for Thursday morning!

This and the fall show are two of the rare times during the year I actually use my vacation days, so I'm looking forward to time with cars, rust, chrome, and my old man.
