Hey dudes, My old man is looking for some wheel adapters for his project. He has a '72 Nova rearend and wants to run
'40 ford 5 x 5.5" pattern steelies on it. I recall some discussion about this in past as to who makes them etc. but couldn't find what I was looking for. He doesn't want to get
custom rims if he doesn't have to. Does anyone know who makes adapters for this application or do any of you have a couple of these kicking around that you would part with? We
    would be greatful- Thanks!

Ansen used to make those plus other combinations and the quality is excellent. I got a set off Ebay so I could adapt the 8" rear to 35 wires. NOS for $25 and change.

Farmer, when you find them let me know i need some too same size.i found some here locally in Flo.but the bastards wanted 325.00 for the set of four.i guess the guy thought i was Bling-Blinging.he asked what the application was i told him it was for a 1934 ford pickup he got very quiet he put me on hold for 10 minutes.then i told him it had all chevy stuff on it rear and front drums.i thought that was funny as hell. Talked to a guy at Mooneyes 'n they make 'em . Also try lugnutking@msn.com............909-376-8011. They are in Mira Loma CA. I talked to the owner at a local show cuz I have a Chevy 10 bolt with '35 wires. Set of adapters were 'bout $30 each. I saw what they had ... looked good.

I'd get a set of the billit ones, not the cheap cast ones like Trans-dapt (sp?) sells. I bought a set (new) on ebay, there seems to usually be a pretty good selection on there.

I have done the research and found the least expensive. I am going from Ford Pass car to 5 x 5.5. I am also getting 5 x 5.5 to 5 x 5.5. Most places dont do 5 x 5.5. The best price is at wheelsandspinners.com. You will talk to John or 18 yr old John jr. Nice kid. I ordered mine and hope to get them in the next few days. The 5 x 5.5 to 5 x 5.5 will serve as spacers to allow the 1928 to 1935 Ford wire wheels to bolt up to 53-56 Ford pickup front brakes.
