I much prefer the art ON THE BACK with perhaps a small logo ( or nothing) on the front. I'm not much into pocket tees either. To me, that pocket is useless and just doesn't look good. I've p***ed on shirts I would bought because they have a pocket or are just printed on the front.

To me, this is kinda like 'which way to hang the toilet paper'.

I prefer my B*** Pro t-shirt with Bambis mom printed on the back and a 30-30 pointed at it. It like really upsets the PETA people.

I like shirts with the art on the back. Front print shirts are for five year olds, I have a couple but only because they were not available on the back and I just had to have one (HAMB shirts  ;) :D).

I always seem to put the art on the back of my shirts and a small logo on the front center . Just something I have always done and will prob continue to do so. I had a newer design with a bigger logo on the front, angled up on the left hand shoulder, and everyone said it was a little over the top.

Women should wear artwork on the front, :) men on the back.

I prefer front, so in the winter when I wear my jacket, it can still be seen. Although a small logo on the front with the design on the back is nice as well.

It should be on the back. Not a bad idea to have a small logo on the front were the pocket would be (heart area). If it is going to be a big print, and only on one side, then it should be the back.

A few of us had this conversation the other day while laying out our new shirts for the band. It was 7 out of 10 votes for the design going on the back. The 3 votes for the front came from the girls who want "cute little tops" with the logo on the front.

When we were doing my shop shirts I had a discussion about his with a guy who started doing shirts in LA in the 60's. I've always preferred on the back only, maybe with a small imprint on the left chest, over the pocket (where the hell did all the pockets go as well?)
He was adamant that the majority of the early shirts were pretty much on the back. It was the east coast guys who started the front nonsense because they were always wearing jackets. But he made a good point that unless you walk around holding you jacket wide open, you can't really read it on the front anyways so you might as well do them right - On the Back!

It's pretty universal the the Cali folks like back artwork. In the midwest though, it's ALWAYS the front.

I like the front so if I put on my jacket people can still see the art work.

  27. same here

id never seen shirts with the artwork on the back until acouple years ago

  28. Your wife is correct. Only women wear t-shirts with the print on the front.

I guess I don't understand why the wearer cares....unless you're seriously double-jointed or a narcissist that spends an inordinant amount of time in front of a mirror, you can't read it anyway.

I don't wear T-shirts with pockets - especially since I've quit smoking. In WA I like the design in front, cuz about half the time you are wearing either a lightweight overshirt or a jacket of some kind. In Vegas....mach nicht...as most of the time the weather is too nice for anything but a T-shirt. The idea of the design is similar to a tattoo (but obviously not as permanent, thank goodness) - let folks know where your brain is at - cars, booze, chicks, etc. So...you want to have maximum exposure for your reading public. So, if you're a LEADER...ya want it on the back...if you're a GREETER...ya want it on the front.

Front.....always. For the most part of the year I might be wearing a flannel so what's the point of buying a shirt if the art work is on the back????

Ryan has a **** load of style so if he does them on the front that's a good indication where it should be.
