Hang in ther man!....The best line in the whole post is "that Family comes first" you have your priorities right. Sometimes life knocks you down, but family picks you up, including your HAMB family!

Congrats on tossing the coffin nails...that's the only thing better than getting over the flu...everything else will eventually fall back into place...

It's great that you quit smoking-best thing you could do for yourself and your loved ones. We don't know each other, but from your posts, you've always seemed like a stand-up guy. Every reasonable customer will appreciate what you're going through and your need to get your family straight first. They'll wait, knowing you will do your best to get back on track. The rest aren't worth having as customers. Best of luck and good health to you and your family.

Family First...It'll all work out. Good Luck and congrats on quitting smoking...That was the best Christmas present my Mom ever gave me when she quit 35 years ago.

  6. Eric, hope your mom-inlaw is ok.
Its posts like this that make this place we call HAMB. And yeah that flu is brutal, I was afraid to fart for weeks cuz I thought it'd be a splash instead:D:rolleyes:
Hopefully you'll make the Roundup. Hang there...

When I got to the "stopped smoking" I couldn't help but laugh (sorry). It made me think of Lloyd Bridges character in "Airplane". "I picked the WRONG day to give up cigarettes!"

Hang in there, communication is key when things turn to ****, and you were up front and let people know what's going on. Folks can be damned understanding when they know the facts. Hope things get better for ya.

Well none of those issues would even matter if you didn't give a ****, damn sometimes it would be easier to just be a *****...

Anyway, best wishes and prayers offered up for you, and those cigs you need to give um up the same way you smoked them, one at a time. Every time you think you want one, remind yourself that you really don't.

Congrats on not smoking. Lost both parents too soon because of cigarette smoking. I wish my Dad was still driving the coupe. I have a floor repair and seat mounting to work on before I need the rear backing plates.

    Family is always first.

    Take care

I think "Family first" is a given. That said I have had pars ordered for a month now and need them. It is holding up getting a car shipped out of the country. I think the least you could do is return a phone call or send a PM You know its hard to take care of your family if you don't make a living. OK FLAME ON GUYS

Eric, I don't know you but you'd better do a search on here because the folks I know that DO know you will say otherwise. I've heard NOTHING but good stuff out of Riley Automotive so keep it up and your reputation will preceed you.

You've got every right to be annoyed. Eric's problems aren't yours... That said, I know Eric is a good guy and am 100% confident he will take care of you. Hell, I'll pay ya back out of my pocket if he does not.

I think one of the problems here is that I've been contacting Eric on Fonti's behalf as he actually did the transaction with Eric - correct? As I understand it, Eric has already contacted Fonti and they have got it worked out.

I sent all of this to ya in a pm.

  30. Family is definitely first . . . but coming from somebody who has been through a LOT of tough stuff while running a small business, you just have to strike a balance, or you run the risk of having a failing business in addition to family drama - and believe me it CAN get worse! When you're out of money and your reputation falters . . . everything will be much worse.

The #1 thing is communication -- no news is ALWAYS bad news, so just let the people who have ordered stuff from you know what is happening - they have lives to live too. I ordered some special parts a couple years ago -- were supposed to be done in 2 months . . . took 2 years, but the guy kept in contact with me and gave ME the choice as to how I wanted to handle it. Some guys may cancel orders - that is their choice, but they deserve to have a chance to make it.

    Just a few more cents . . . from a guy who has walked the walk . . .
