I've never seen it before ... was channel surfin' and stumbled upon it ... I'm watching it right now (it started @ 12:45am PST) ... so far, I'm not too impressed with it (the squealing tires on dirt, the stupid dialog, poor acting, etc.) ... but I admit there's plenty of cars to checkout : EDIT: I'm setting the DVR ... and going to bed!
Greetings from Long Branch NJ Americas first seashore resort and 7 time US summer capital....right on Humpie its so bad that is good...back then a major Drive - In action-bad kids movie for us....now a cult flick. Lee - WRAT FM at the Jersey Shore
i love when mimi throws the beer at the kid and he yell's "ALL GIRLS ARE NUTS" LOL I used to watch this with my ol' man when we partied, before he p***ed. i love that movie..... great to show to friends who have not seen it. has anyone ever seen WEREWOLVES ON WHEELS ? it's a corny 60's biker flick, but i love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAMBr Old Rod's '29 Hiboy appeared in the desert scene ... here's some (low-rez) screen captures of his roadster:
Groucho told me about this movie so when I saw it coming on TCM I watched it...I think it is a pretty weird movie really....it seemed like a 50s movie...instead of something that came out in 1967...very old fashioned...the acting was all breathless and screamy...and I mean that in a bad way...the cars were bad ***. Its also funny to me that all the "villains" in these movies that everyone is always afraid of look like theyre 5'6 and 140 lb.......my chick could kick their ***es.
I remember watching this movie years ago...liked the cars....thanks for posting these Hemi32...anybody else have pics of Old Rod's car?
I saw that movie(Hot Rods to Hell) when it first came out. I remember going to the drive in and sitting in my 54 Chevy
I saw it at the drive inn when it first came out too. In the family station wagon. I also bought the movie poster from The Vintage Touque folks at the Des Moines car show a couple of weeks ago. On another note I wish that SPEED would bring back The Lost Drive Inn. That was always fun to watch on a Saturday night!
I remember as a kid thinking why Dana Andrews (the dad) didn't kick some *** or at least fight back and not be such a helpless *****. Yeah, he had some injury or BS that made him unable to fight back but fer'chris'sakes pal, DO something. The helpless ***** thing reminds me of "Duel" with Dennis Weaver. I think "Duel" made everyone think they should have a good car and not some ****box that can't outrun a ratty old Peterbuilt with a trailer.
He should have gotten up to speed, reached up and cut that giant "X-Cargo" loose on them. Probably could have taken out the Vette and the roadster in one shot........... .

Reminds me of that movie a year or two back with those two scrawny preppy boys that terrorized that family at some boat house or something...give me a break that movie would have lasted 5 minutes where I am from...
With the possible exception of the 56 Chevy, that big old Plymouth could have taken out all those cars easy.
there is a older version of this movie that's black and white from the 50's it is some funny **** the old guy in it is hilarious when he gets mad at the kids
The Highway patrolman in Hot rods To Hell and the p***enger in the Charger in Bullet are the same guy.....
