Junkyard tour in Indiana! B&K is off S.R. 3 between 18 and 218. Look 'em up. You're able to go there and get the parts off yourself, prices are quite reasonable too. Not a lot of old stuff left, most of its been picked through pretty heavily, including myself. They are open weekdays and Saturdays too.
A few more interesting items. They stay quite busy with the late model inventory so they might not be able to answer your questions right away on the early stuff.
That 1960 Caddy wagon would have been specially built, and well worth saving. There was a thread on Caddy wagons here last year.
Yep, 60' M&M low top ambulance/he**** combination...looks pretty rusty but if you had to replace the windshield or rear curved windows you'd pay a fortune. I had one identical to it when I was in high school. Halloween was a blast, I'd load it to the gills with kids and cruise around handing out candy. Johnny
Yes, somebody's old project that ended up here. Supposedly it's sold and hands off of it! but its still there! If I'd bought a 39/40 Merc and it was sitting in a junkyard I wouldn't waste anytime getting it out of there! Somebody narrowed and installed what looks like a 62 Chevy dash (yuk! in a Merc)
It has M&M emblem in it. I got a rocker moulding off the p***enger side yesterday. About 20' long! Got the long trim pieces off tops of the rear quarters too. I wish I knew somebody that needed the gl***, it looks pretty good. Engine is still in it but not sure of condition.
I'm with you on the '40 Merc. I nearly jumped out of my seat. I already had their phone number looked up before I got to your post on it. Why just leave it there?
