A buddy of mine picked these up and wanted to know what they were off of. For 16" wheels, no clips on the back to attach them to the wheel. Does anyone know what they are off of?
Those could be MOPAR from the early to mid 40's they are intended to be retained in place by the dog dish (or baby moon shapes ) hubcap and when mounted give the appearence of a full wheel cover. These would be similar but after 47 mid year would be 15 inch.
they found a set of those on a kustom kar in 1946 at area 51.............................................
Hard to tell. They made different models of those trim rings for Fords, Chevys, Mopars, etc. About all you can do is to try them on a wheel you have to see if they fit properly. They also made some of those type with clips on the outer edges.....and they still went under the cap. These fit my 47 Plymouth stock style rims which are 15 inch. Back side with clips......
Thanks for the pictures and info 47Plym. I just posted a set that looks just like yours. Mine are 15 inch and have a brown plating on the back, otherwise yours and mine look the same. Search for mine under "rings" and look for hihorse. Mine are for sale.
