The body work on my 47 is coming a long so well that I want to remove the rear window and windshield in order to do a complete job. We're replacing the sides and front but I am going to need to reuse the rear. I've removed windshields before, is the rear window done in the same piano wire method? Or am I better off just leaving the rear in and sanding up ti the surround? there is no rot around the windows, just old paint. thanks for any help I get

I use a sharp knife & cut the gasket to be sure I don't break the glass. New rubber is cheap compared to finding a good rear glass.

I agree with papastoyss. But if you do break it or someone wants new glass this place has new. They have even have it tinted.

Not sure if you are already aware of this, but the rear window goes in/out from inside the car.
