My buddy knew about this old Dodge which had been sitting out for the past 30 years and was finally able to buy it. The Red Ram will be going into his nephew's '37 Ford Coupe. By the time I got up there with the camera, the Dodge was already mostly apart.
Not much left of the Dodge. It was a local car. The dealership building is still standing in Princeton. It was last used as a Health Foods Supermarket, but is now empty and for sale. There is a Dodge Brothers logo in the brickwork.
nice save glad to see the motors gonna be used and not sitting any more, whats he doing with the car? i hope i wont go to the crusher
The deck lid and emblems will be saved. Every car he junks gets picked down to bare bones and all the parts are saved. The Dodge was really rusty, so the remaining shell will get cut up. That car was built like a tank. In one of the pictures, it shows how beefy the frame rails are.
Nothing better then a Red Ram, they fit in almost anything..I put one in my 1935 Ford and no cutting.. Duane.
Must have been a 53 Coronet, trans. was either a Gyro-Torque or Gyro-matic. As I recall they both had a pedal, but were semi-auto.
