A friend of mine sets up there to sell gas pumps and related signs. Never knew of the Amelia Island show until he told me about it. If anyone is going you should check out his stuff. He's got some beautiful orig art and signs. It'd be great to see some pics. I know its more of a restored to original show but it sounds cool.
Here are some links from another photo file. No, I didn't go this year, but there are some GREAT cars at these kinds of shows. If you don't check them out (or these pix), shame on you - customs, styling exercises, old racers, Smokey's Indy car, etc.. I was there! HAMBer Geoff Hacker organized one of the cl***es - "Forgotten Fibergl***" - of old fibergl*** sports cars. Pictures of those cars - plus others - are on his www.forgottenfibergl***.com website. A very upscale event - I felt REALLY out of place !!
Amelia rocked. I had a great time. The Triumph 650 I displayed ended up with first place. An excellent show, but a bit pricey for spectators.....still worth every penny
Where is Amelia Island. i live in Ameliasburgh, home of the great Ameliasburgh Street Meet. (Also home of Olympic Rowing gold medalist Brian Price) Don
